Ratbone Rescues is a national rescue organization working to rescue and rehome Rat Terriers. Established in 1999, we have grown from a tiny core of four volunteers to almost 150 members across the nation. We take in all kinds of Rat Terriers; old, injured, puppy mill survivors, pregnant and heartworm positive. We are also the official rescue organization of the American Hairless Terrier Association, and you can sometimes find American Hairless Terriers (AHTs) at Ratbone Rescues - as well as the impressive Decker Giant Rat Terriers.
As Ratbone Rescues takes in seriously injured dogs our vet bills are very high. Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of rehabilitating many of our dogs, but we accept them anyway. Many injured dogs that sit untreated in shelters have come into Ratbone Rescue to be cared for and restored to health.

You can also make a nomination if you are a current COTM Sponsor.
HOW CAN EFA MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN OUR COTM PROGRAM ?
TAGGING
EFA members who choose to donate a portion of their product sales to EFA's Charity of the Month can tag those listings with 'team efa cotm'. You may also use 'charity' as a tag; and if the proceeds amount is 100% you can use 'donation' as a supplemental tag.
If after the month is done & your products are still tagged 'team efa cotm' then those products will go to benefit our next COTM. If you wish to donate a percentage to another charity, including a -previous- cotm, please remove 'cotm' from your tag. Using these tags helps to identify your pledge and makes it easier for shoppers & treasury makers to locate your products.
ETSY REQUIREMENT
If members plan to promote their wares as "benefiting charity" Etsy requires each seller to specify details in their Shop Announcement and/or product listings outlining which charity & what amount or percentage of sale will be donated to them. Along with those details provide the link to this COTM website page which outlines each month's Charity.
For example:
ANiMAL CHARiTY DONATiON
X% of sales will be donated to animal charities, notably Team EFA's CHARiTY OF THE MONTH which differs each month. Please visit our Team's website to read about this month's charity: http://efaartistshelpinganimals.org/charities.htm
Charity of the Month Members can also use our Team's 'Sales Benefit COTM' logo to upload in their product listing !
COTM DONATIONS
To make a donation to EFA's COTM charity, visit our blog where you will find on the left hand side the donation quick links for the last 12 COTM charities. When you make a donation to any animal charity including our COTMs... be sure to report it to Team EFA (see link below).
COTM SPONSORSHIP
Become a COTM sponsor ! ANY current EFA member who is able to make & report a donation of $10 and up during the month which coordinates with our COTM becomes a COTM Sponsor for the month. You are not required to have any shop product listings tagged with 'cotm' to become a COTM Sponsor. As a thank you gift, Team EFA will feature your Etsy Mini 1x1 on EFA's website Sponsor page during the following month.
