The folks at Apache Moon studio make jewelry. They are usually only two. Both Native American. Both were raised in mainstream east Texas culture and both attended Texas schools and colleges, both are UT grads. Verge is an artist and psychologist. He also paints murals. Nee (Nita) is a science nerd. She has been a computer analyst and has taught college courses in math and physics. She spends full time with the animals and jewelry now. Their greatest loves are animals and jewelry making. They have cats everywhere. The shop cats are Bippy and Polly. Bippy shares their workbench, where her heating pad resides. They have about 30 cats most of the time. Some inside, some semi outside and some are so feral that they cannot be captured yet. Some of their cats have pets... dogs, opossums, raccoons, etc. If it has a fuzzy face, it is welcome there. 100% of their revenue from sales goes to animal rescue. They have rescued, had spayed/neutered 32 cats this year. The vet bills, shots, medications, food, upkeep is astounding and, so far, they have supported it completely out of their own pockets. They would gladly accept donations now. Things they say they can ALWAYS use are bedding, Revolution, and money.
They are looking into the possibility of becoming a registered non-profit org but that is still a long time off.

Tracie Pennypacker believes that all animals have feelings. Being a Mother to three cats, she understands the ability of an animal to have emotions.

At the beginning of becoming a designer, Tracie wanted to be able to donate 50% to wildlife and nature organizations. Unfortunately, she did not have the funds to back it up! She is excited whenever there is a sale, not only because she is glad people love her work as much as her, but that she can donate to what inspired her in the first place...wildlife.
